Wholesome Essence has added four new products to our quality offerings to help keep your pantry stocked with healthy, delicious foods that don’t just taste good, they do good. Non-GMO and sourced from Natural Agriculture farmers from Iowa to Japan, you can now get your dried soybeans, naturally fermented soy sauce, and green and black teas all right here at Wholesome Essence.
Wholesome Essence soybeans come from the heart of America’s breadbasket, grown at Janie’s Farm Organics just an hour and a half outside of Chicago, IL. Farmer Harold Wilken is dedicated to raising grains using organic, sustainable, Natural Agriculture methods, and providing customers with a clean and healthy source of soy. Full of umami and rich in natural enzymes, amino acids, and antioxidants, our soy sauce includes just three ingredients sweet soybeans, pure water from the Atagoyama spring, and the finest sea salt from Okinawa. These simple ingredients are then naturally slow-fermented for two years, rather than the typical five months to one year of most commercial soy sauce.
All of our teas are grown near the base of Mount Fuji in central Japan – a region prized for its abundant clear water and rich volcanic soil. Produced by tea company Hakkeien using Natural Agriculture, no chemical pesticides or fertilizers of any kind have been applied to Wholesome Essence tea and you’ll be sure to taste the unique flavors of the sacred “fire mountain” in every cup.
